I had worries man. I finally got my crush, Chasity, to go on a date to the fair and she wants me to win her a Guns-n-roses mirror at the dart station. Super nervous! Also, I'm really hoping my parents come through and get me that new Mongoose BMX bike for my birthday. And I'm making Chasity a mixed tape so please, please, please let the radio station play the songs I need and not talk during the beginning. I also got the boys coming over for a sleepover and we're playing capture the flag in the yard, but we're playing against our neighborhood rivals, the Floyd brothers. We can't let those bastards win so we gotta come up with a good strategy. So yeah, I had worries for sure man, but they were the awesome kind.

@@abdulqudz89 this is crazy I was walking by a botanical garden in Brooklyn and a sign read the date it was founded 1994 and I thought I wish I could find a wormhole in this garden and just go back. I saw my life flash before my eyes in a matter of seconds it was very nostalgic.

I was born in the 80's and grew up in the 90's. I consider myself blessed for that. Oh how amazing the world was back then. Playing with my Sega Mega Drive, adventuring in the woods with my friends, watching latest movies with Arnold and Sly, listening to the best new 90's techno pop songs, having a Tamagotchi, seeing the arrival of Playstation, witnessing the birth of Internet...oh and playing "matopeli" with my Nokia...it all was so magical. Now the world is insane and so are the people, all that was once good is almost gone and degeneracy has taken over everything. Sigh, i would give everything to go back...

Man.... how time flies... I remember vividly the aura of the 90's. The wind blowing, the taste, the feeling I had at the time; it was magical to say the least. Weird times we are living in now. Bt you know what? I'm EXTREMELY grateful for the internet, despite the negatives. The internet has allowed me and others to be able to find nostalgic music, and also people here in the comment section to connect and reminisce about the good ol' days as the older folks would say. lol

People have a habit of saying that in the past, things were better, easier, and simpler. This is partly due to a sense of nostalgia (and I include myself in that). However, don't be fooled: things have always been difficult. What has changed, in my view, is that we, the people, were simpler, easier to deal with for the most part. This, consequently, made the difficult situations and challenges of life easier to handle.
Nostalgia is indeed a powerful drug. Life was, objectively speaking, simpler and easier to deal with. And while I long for simpler times, I often have to remind myself that a complex, more interconnected world isn't the enemy. Sure, the internet and social media make life more complicated and anxiety-inducing, but I certainly wouldn't be able to find gems like this video and all of the people commenting underneath in the simpler times.
Life was better back then because like you mentioned, people were easier to deal with but I believe the 90s while having been born in 1994 myself were better because we weren’t as connected as now but when we connected it felt like joy. We got together to watch movies which is better than doing streaming from a distance for the same movie. Music was better. People put their heart into it I don’t see that anymore. The economy was better, buying a house was easier, jobs were plentiful, stock market soared. People built relationships unlike now where our instant gratification culture has made relationships mostly a thing of the past for far too many. Going to the movies was an event unlike today. I went to see Deadpool recently and I didn’t feel the excitement that you did back then for movies.

Sure, we may be more connected now but the connection is hollow and cheap. More often than not, people will gather with their friends and sit around on their phones, barely interacting with each other.
Dating has taken a turn from things like friends hooking up each other up into mindlessly scrolling through scores of people and swiping left or right based on a surface level look of them. And then even if they do get together, the urge to sit on their phones, focusing on other things is strong.
In our rush to expand our horizons, we lost the ability to appreciate that which is right in front of us. In our rush to connect to each other, we lost the ability to truly appreciate the connections we already have.
This is the year I was born and I’m glad it means so much to everyone cause those early years were the best.

@@babymurcielaga electronic music evolution is out of the question. It’s actually been around us since the early 1920’s. What I’m saying is that Synthwave videos are normally 1980’s themed and now you’re transitioning them to the 90’s and that’s cool.

I don't think you know what nostalgia means lol. First, it's relative to each individual. Second, there are no time constraints- you can have nostalgia for something fairly recent.

@@meinlet5103 I was 12 and 94 in this music means a lot to me. It really was a simpler time. There were probably still a lot of drama in the world. We just didn’t hear about it as much, with no Internet we didn’t have information but this music reminds me of the mall when I was a kid.
It's no doubt the best era of all times especially those who were kids or born at that year. You get to experience the end of 80s wave and slowly seeing the world changes to what it is today.

Man, in 94 I got the Genesis Megadrive 16-bit from my mother. So many hours playing Sonic 2. Thanks mom! In the same year my Brazil won the world cup with the wrong penalty from Roberto Baggio! I went out with my father shouting TETRA BRASIL until I lost my voice! Everything was amazing!

95-97 for me, was 5-7yo, my parents were still together, we lived simple ,stable, optimistic life, warm summer nights, echo of my parents talking in another room, while im playing in my room with my toys :) such a nice core memory

I graduated high school in 1994, with a happy family and simple life. We didn't have much, but we had love. Now, with more financial security, I've lost the two people who mattered most - my dad and younger brother. It's a painful reminder that money can't buy happiness, and what I'd give to have those carefree days back..😔
The problem with the 90s is that it only lasted a decade.
I was born in 1994, about to turn 30. I got to experience a small slice of what it was like to be a 90's kid. I long for those days again. I wish I was able to experience the 90s as a teen/young adult because as a kid I couldn't want to grow up in that world. What we have now is so unlike what I thought it would be.
